***October 6th Museum Update***

Postby Austin Hancock » 07 Oct 2012 15:17

Hey all, hope you're each enjoying the early fall. The leaves are changing color here in Geneseo, and it looks amazing as always. I didn't bring my camera yesterday, but I will still give a brief update on the latest news...

- Yesterday, the gang was busy finishing up the rib-stitching on the GB-2 "Traveler" (Staggerwing) wing. The work is nearly complete, then it will be taped and painted. The goal is to have the Staggerwing back up and flying by next year's airshow.

- A few of the guys were also working on the YO-55 Ercoupe's restoration.

- The Antonov AN-2 "Colt" has also seem some recent TLC as she awaits a new engine in the not-so-distant future.

That's all I've got for now, but stay tuned! Also, possible BIG news on the "Lucy Gal" front...

Blue Skies and Tailwinds...

Hey, it's good to hear that the birds are getting worked on. That's a pretty full plate for the winter months, Austin. Is there any timeline estimates on the engine, etc., for Natasha?
